ACHIEVEMENTS
1) An all time record annual traffic of 42.44 million tones was handled at this port during the year 2007-08 surpassing the previous record of 38.52 million tones handled during the year 2006-07.

4) An all time record quantity of 30.80 million tonnes of rail borne traffic was handled by the port railway during the year surpassing the previous record of 26.54 million tones handled during 2006-07.
5) A record quantity of 4.2 million tones of cargo was handled during the month of Feb’08 surpassing the previous record of 3.9 million tones handled during Dec’07.
6) A record quantity of 25.59 million tones of export cargo was handled surpassing the previous record of 24.86 million tones handled during 2006-07.
7) A record quantity of 16.85 million tones of import cargo was handled surpassing the previous record of 13.66 million tones handled during 2006-07.
